What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is the department of science in general medicine in which has for its principal objects the observation and study of the action of remedial agents in health and disease and the treatment and cure of disease by medication, according to a fixed law or general principal.
Homeopathy was founded and developed into a scientific system by Samuel Hahnemann (155-1843) under the principal of the inductive method of science as developed by Lord Bacon. Its practice is governed by the principal of symptom- similarity, which is the application in medicine of the universal principal of mutual action formulated by Sir Issac Newton in the third law of motion “Action and reaction are equal and opposite”.

Dr. Hahnemann was the father of homeopathy. He was the M.D Medicene.  He was not satisfied will the allopathic system of medicine. Than from CINCHONA BARK idea came to his mind about similia similibus curentur. Likes should be treated with likes.

“CINCHONA BARK was to
Hahnemann what the falling
apple was to newton and
swinging lamp is Galileo.”

How homeopathy came to India country?

When maharajah ranjit singh of Punjab fell seriously ill, he had swelling of the limbs and last his voice. Doctor from all over the world were summoned- to no avail.

At last a well known doctor of a little known system of medicine; Dr. john martin Honigberger, was invited little did anyone suspect that this would have such a profound effect on Indian medical history. Dr. Honigberger diagnosed the maharajah with paralysis of vocal chords and oedema and went on to successfully cure both. Homeopathy had arrived in India.
To Dr. Honigberger goes the credit of bringing the science of homeopathy to India.
